Your data is collected in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC (hereinafter referred to as GDPR), Journal UE L 119/1 of 04/05/2016. For the needs of the current recruitment processes or any other activities in the scope of job placement the basis for the processing of data is the fact that the processing is necessary to fulfill legal obligations imposed on the Data Controller(GDPR Article 6, 1.c)  or your consent (GDPR Article 6, 1.a).

Personal data processed in order to carry out the recruitment process will be stored for the period necessary to carry out the recruitment process, and then it will be archived – for possible future use – for a period of 5 years. For cookies please refer to cookies section of this document.

Personal data processed in order to carry out the recruitment process: name, surname, nationality, date of birth, contact details, education, professional qualifications, qualification documents and sea service. For cookies please refer to cookies section of this document.

10 The collected data can be transferred to

  • External entities that process personal data on behalf of the Contoller and have signed the Personal Data Processing Agreement with the Controller, in particular maritime companies seeking employees. 
  • In the event of a request being made. To authorized goverment institutions, in particular organizational units of the Prosecutor’s Office, the Police, the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, the President of the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection or the President of the Office of Electronic Communications.

11 Your rights with respect to personal data

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • You have the right to know why your personal data is needed, what will happen to it, and how long it will be retained for.
  • Right of access: You have the right to access your personal data that is known to us.
  • Right to rectification: you have the right to supplement, correct, have deleted or blocked your personal data whenever you wish.

The data subject has the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.   • Right to object: you may object to the processing of your data. We comply with this, unless there are justified grounds for processing.
  • Providing personal data by you is not mandatory, but it is necessary to carry out the recruitment process.

Personal data will not be transferred to third countries for which the European Commission has not issued a decision establishing an adequate level of protection under the GDPR.
